MTS is an organisation committed to obeying the words of Jesus Christ in the great commission – to make disciples of all nations. MTS stands for ‘Ministry Training Strategy’. It is a vision, a strategy and mindset all in one.
MTS seeks to multiply gospel workers through ministry apprenticeships.
Our view is that considering and ‘tasting’ the ministry of the Word – even well before enrolling in theological college – is a worthy and important thing to do. We therefore think that the ‘apprenticeship’ approach makes good sense.
Right now there are over 280 apprentices in more than 150 churches. Our goal is to grow this to over 500 apprentices that do an apprenticeship each year. We can’t do this without your help though.
We want to multiply gospel workers, will you help support us?
At the very heart of SMBC is the desire to see men and women prepared to take the light of Christ out into a dark world. Mission is in our DNA – reflected in our Centre for Cross-Cultural Mission and Centre for Preaching and Pastoral Ministry.
We are a Bible-centred, interdenominational college with a commitment to learning and being shaped within the context of community. Our diverse student body comes from across Australia and around the world.
We offer a flexible approach to learning, with full-time and part-time, day or evening, intensive mode or semester length options – at undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate and doctorate levels.
Our experienced teaching staff comes from diverse backgrounds of ministry and missionary experience. It’s not only their academic expertise which will stretch and deepen your biblical thinking, but also their life experience ‘on the field’ that provides application to what they teach.

Open Doors serve the persecuted church.
Overseas - We work through local partners and build long-term relationships in over 60 countries around the world. We partner with people who know and understand what is needed to see the church strengthened and the gospel proclaimed. Our mission is to help local churches transform their nation for Jesus.
In Australia - We partner with Australian local churches. We believe that caring for the persecuted church should be part of the DNA of every Christian. Your support enables believers living in some of the darkest places on Earth to be a light for Christ. Our mission is to make sure that the persecuted church is remembered in every Australian church, every Bible study and every home.
We are part of the Body of Christ, devoted to Jesus Christ and His Commission, and motivated for the glory of God.

Worst drought in 60 years.
Cattle, donkeys and camels have died before our own eyes,” says Pastor Chochoi. “Humans are faced with starvation … [they] have now resorted to boiling and eating wild fruit. They boil the fruits for several hours to remove the poison before eating them … I doubt we will survive in the next few months.”
Rivers, boreholes and water pans have all dried up. People are digging holes in the dry riverbed to seek water. 30 million people affected.
